Vázquez Consuegra participates in the 2nd COMUS 22 Sustainable Mobility Congress

The Sustainable Mobility Congress, organised by the Institute of Mobility, is a 5-day online event on the future of mobility, which offers access to presentations by renowned professionals in the sector. The architect Angelo Marletta, coordinator of the project, will present the Restructuring of the Cornavin Urban Complex on 26 April in Room 4, a project drawn up by the Vázquez Consuegra studio together with Frei Rezakhanlou Architectes and winner of the competition organised by the Construction and Planning Department of the City of Geneva. Lectio Magistralis at the University of Pescara, Italy

On 23 March Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra will give a “Lectio Magistralis” to the students of the University of Chieti-Pescara, the opening lecture of the 2021-22 university year, delayed due to the pandemic. Interview with Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra featured in Urbanism and Architecture Magazine

The Chinese magazine Urbanism and Architecture, in its 274th issue, has published an interview with Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra in which he expresses his vision of architecture, his references and reviews some of his projects, such as the Ramón y Cajal dwellings, the Conference Centre in Seville, the Museum of Underwater Archaeology in Cartagena and the Restoration of the Palace of San Telmo. Lecture by Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra during the Andalusia-Finlandia Architecture Seminar

On 16 March at the headquarters of the FIDAS Foundation, Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra will present the interventions in Genoa and Cornavin to Finnish architects, companies and authorities during the Andalusia-Finlandia Architecture Conference, organised from Seville by FIDAS and Extenda in collaboration with Business Finland and the Finnish Embassy in Spain. Institutional ceremony for the beginning of Atarazanas construction works

New monograph in the Peruvian magazine ARKINKA

Issue 292 of the Peruvian magazine Arkinka features several of Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra’s latest projects, including the A11 house (on the cover), the MKR shop and the architecture studio’s headquarters on Dos de Mayo street in Seville, among others. The architect Frederick Cooper, director of the magazine and author of the editorial, emphasises: “In all of them (the six projects presented) it is clear that the starting point is always a careful reflection on the genius loci of each chosen site, the intelligent and sensitive observation of the natural, urban and/or historical context (…)”. Museo del Mare in Trieste

Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra presented the project for the new Museum of the Sea in the presence of Trieste City Hall officials on 9 th December. “There is a desire to define an urban space that can be used by the public, recovering historical memory and the delicate construction of fabrics that link the new with the old, demonstrating a natural propensity to dialogue with heritage and to know how to mould one’s own architectural and constructive repertoire in favour of a discreet and original contemporaneity” T.P.
